On February 2, 2024, Today the World issued a recall of all lots of Sustain herbal dietary supplement capsules and one lot of Schwinnng capsules after FDA analysis found the supplements to contain undeclared prescription drugs tadalafil and nortadalafil.

Tadalafil (the active ingredient in Cialis) and nortadalafil are ingredients in FDA approved products in the family of drugs known as phosphodiesterase (PDE-5) inhibitors and are prescribed for erectile dysfunction. These drugs can cause symptoms like headache and flushing and can interact with medications containing nitrates such as nitroglycerin, resulting in dangerously low blood pressure.

Recalled Sustain and Schwinnng capsules (see product photos) were promoted for male sexual enhancement and distributed nationwide on Amazon and company websites. They can be further identified by the following:
 

• Sustain: BTH: 230551, EXP: 12.05.2026, BTH: 230571, EXP: 14.05.2026
• Schwinnng: Lot: 2108, EXP: 10/2024

Today the World is notifying consumers via press announcement and is arranging for return or replacement of all recalled products. Consumers and healthcare providers can report any adverse reactions through the FDA’s MedWatch Voluntary Reporting Program.
